Experience & Education

Dr. Ralph Baker, O.D. earned his Doctor of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry. He has been practicing optometry for over 35 years and previously owned and operated his own practice in Roseville before joining the team at Granite Pointe Eye Care.

Dr. Baker provides care for patients with a range of vision and eye health needs. He focuses on understanding each patient’s concerns and recommending care based on their individual needs. In addition to his clinical work, he has spent many years volunteering to provide eye care services for homeless veterans through Placer Veterans Stand Down.

Get to Know

Dr. Baker works to create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages and values building long-term relationships with those he serves. He retired from the United States Air Force Reserve in August 2017 after 20 years of service, including three years of active duty. During his time in the Air Force, he served as an optometrist for the Thunderbirds.

Outside the office, Dr. Baker continues his involvement in the community and enjoys spending time with his wife and grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys woodturning and outdoor activities.
