Dr. Gerald Louie, O.D. provides eye care informed by many years of clinical experience. At Foothills Optometry by
Granite Pointe Eye Care Inc An Optometric Corporation, he takes time to understand how you use your vision each day and provides care based on your individual needs.
Dr. Louie earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California, Davis in 1989. He continued his education at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry, completing a second Bachelor of Science in Physiological Optics in 1991, before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1993.
He later completed a residency in ocular disease at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. This training provided additional experience in diagnosing and managing complex eye conditions.
Over the years, Dr. Louie has provided care for many patients in the community. His approach focuses on careful evaluation and understanding how patients use their vision in everyday life.
