Dr. Frances Leung completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of California, Davis , before earning her Doctor of Optometry from the University of California at Berkeley. She has proudly practiced in the Sacramento area for almost 30 years and has even volunteered her optometric expertise by providing free vision screenings to those in need.
Since Dr. Leung joined Granite Pointe Eye Care in 2006, she has compassionately dedicated herself to the wellbeing of her patients and their families. She is proud to help patients on their path to better vision by performing comprehensive eye exams, as well as treating and managing various eye diseases and urgent eye-related medical conditions.

I took the chance in contacting their office and expected to just leave a message for a return call and was so relieved to be able to select the option for a return call. She called me within five minutes and scheduled a time for me to come in for an evaluation. She did a thorough exam and identified the problem, prescribed medication and I am now on the mend. I will forever be grateful for her expert exam, treatment and quick response. I would give more stars if I could, she is absolutely fantastic. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Loved meeting Dr. Mitra and her assistant Iman. All at reception were wonderful and very welcoming. I'm looking forward to my upcoming surgery. Highly recommend! Now I've had my eyelid surgery. Been two months, no complications no issues. Dr. Mitra is exceptional. Would depend on her for any medical need I'd require.
