Dr. Okamoto earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, before graduating with his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University. He then completed his residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, focusing on ocular diseases and hospital-based optometry. Dr. Okamoto also worked at an ophthalmology practice for a decade. He specializes in treating dry eye patients and those needing specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Okamoto has over 30 years of experience practicing his compassionate eye care in the Sacramento Valley, and prides himself on staying up to date on the newest and most technologically advanced treatments in the industry today to deliver the best care to his patients.

I took the chance in contacting their office and expected to just leave a message for a return call and was so relieved to be able to select the option for a return call. She called me within five minutes and scheduled a time for me to come in for an evaluation. She did a thorough exam and identified the problem, prescribed medication and I am now on the mend. I will forever be grateful for her expert exam, treatment and quick response. I would give more stars if I could, she is absolutely fantastic. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Loved meeting Dr. Mitra and her assistant Iman. All at reception were wonderful and very welcoming. I'm looking forward to my upcoming surgery. Highly recommend! Now I've had my eyelid surgery. Been two months, no complications no issues. Dr. Mitra is exceptional. Would depend on her for any medical need I'd require.
