Experience & Education

Dr. Matsuo earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of California. She went on to complete her education at Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry, where she received her Doctor of Optometry.

Since graduating, she’s remained loyal to her Californian roots by spending the entirety of her career in Roseville, CA, at Granite Pointe Eye Care, where she educates patients on their ocular and systematic health and provides personalized eye care. Dr. Matsuo enjoys helping patients of all ages with their vision care needs, and is especially skilled in managing dry eye, myopia in children, and age-related macular degeneration in older patients.

  I experienced the most amazing eye treatment from Dr. Frances Leung yesterday (on a Saturday).  I took the chance in contacting their office and expected to just leave a message for a return call and was so relieved to be able to select the option for a return call.  She called me within five minutes and scheduled a time for me to come in for an evaluation.  She did a thorough exam and identified the problem, prescribed medication and I am now on the mend.  I will forever be grateful for her expert exam, treatment and quick response.  I would give more stars if I could, she is absolutely fantastic. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  My first visit to the office. Best customer Service and kindness experienced in a long time during what we've all been dealt with the past 2 years. Loved meeting Dr. Mitra and her assistant Iman. All at reception were wonderful and very welcoming. I'm looking forward to my upcoming surgery. Highly recommend!

Now I've had my eyelid surgery. Been two months, no complications no issues. Dr. Mitra is exceptional. Would depend on her for any medical need I'd require.
